What fun I had creating a perfume to personify a stylish and sophisticated era – nostalgic for a time of jazz, pearls, well-tailored jackets The Great Gatsby has always been my favourite book. I even stayed in the hotel it was written in and re-read it and married on the same day the book was published. When I was asked to pick an author, one of their books and one their greatest characters then create a perfume based on this character, it was a very easy proposition and accepted straight away.
